DJ Viz and Dr. Mindbender are connoisseurs of underground beats. The two are known to share their vast collection of sounds sporadically around the Greater Boston Metro Region. They are known to play hip hop, funk, and all things groovy at River Gods on random Saturday nights and play out at underground parties and clubs.

Dr. Mindbender is a scientist by day and plots world domination by night. DJ Viz is a member of the live electronic band, Psylab, where he plays the laptop and twiddles knobs that make psychedelic sounds.

Here is bit about him from Beat Research crew and his blog.......

He is a music addict, spinning over 10 years. Started in Philadelphia (city of brotherly love) to Boston and now to Tel-Aviv. Spins everything from dub, globalhiphop, soulfunk, triphop, downtempo, electronica and much more…

Back when Verb 9 was living in the States he started the infamous Spectrum night at the Phoenix Landing with DJ C and DJ Flack.

Spectrum's dedication to mixing up genres and inviting creative special guests from all over the map (from Holland's Twilight Circus Dub Sound System, to local innovators like Hrvatski) made it the artistic and spiritual predecessor to our current Beat Research night.

He moved back to Israel a few years ago and currently risides in Tel Aviv where he has been ripping up the night-life ever since.

His set will mainly focus on global bass (cumbia, bali funk, kudruo etc.), dubstep and new underground hiphop including some fresh new Israeli producers.
